SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – The San Diego County Citizens Review Board is looking for an additional volunteer member to complete the opening.
CLERB: was founded in 1990 to investigate citizens’ complaints against probation officers in the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
The Review Board investigates deaths related to the actions of sworn deputies and probation officers. CLERB advises on grievances, advises on policy changes, procedures: sheriff, probation officer, supervisory boards.
The vacancy is inside Control period 2:. The area covers 2,000 square miles in the eastern part of the county, including the cities and communities of La Mesa, El Cajon, Santay, Paua, Ramona, Boulevard, Campo.
The 11 board members include two from each of the five oversight bodies. The 11th is elected in one of the five districts. The Supervisory Board appoints the members of the Board for a term of three years, which gradually begins on July 1 and ends on June 30.
Applicants.
- Must be a registered voter in the San Diego area;
- Cannot be a county employee;
- It is not possible to be interconnected with the region;
- Cannot currently serve as a sworn law enforcement officer;
- Ser has a three-year term of no more than two consecutive full terms.
- Must be present to someone CLERB meeting Before applying for the vacant position. and
- Must complete training within three months of appointment.
