The Harbor Freight Competition recognizes craft teachers
Harbor Freight has opened a new bid window to apply for cash prizes Excellence trainingThis competition focuses on the recognition of pedagogical ուտ skills programs in public high schools.
For 2021, the top three winners will receive $ 100,000, of which $ 70,000 will go to their craft program and 30 $ 30,000 to a team of teachers or teachers. Each of the 15 additional winners will receive $ 50,000, $ 35,000 for the state high school program, and $ 15,000 for the teacher or team.

Catherine Warley, Industrial Technology Teacher West Hills High School In Santi, California, where students make furniture, make machine parts, learn about welding, computer mechanization, and other skills. Nine out of 10 students who completed the first semester of the 10 programs eventually continue all three years. More than 90% of students complete all assigned projects, և 85% believe the program teaches them skills such as responsibility and timeliness. One in three students enters the trade.

Nicole Taylor, who teaches construction Warren Technical School In Chambly, G. S., students with special needs are immersed in basic carpentry and electricity before diving into special crafts. The courses address community programs, including building and maintaining shelters for the homeless.

Wayne Violet, teacher of automotive technology Washington DC Technical High School In Heigerstown, MD, which guides its students by taking donated vehicles, repairing them for sale or auction, or preparing them for removal. At least half of the Violet project seniors have received collaborative work.
All three teachers became educators after working in the industry for many years.
Access to the application requires registration training excellence website, These applications will be submitted on May 21, 2021 at 5 o’clock Pacific time. The finalists will be announced on July 14, followed by a two-round application process. The winners will be announced in October.
