SAN DIEGO CANTI, California – Residents of the San Diego area now have a different choice when it comes to finding the COVID-19 vaccine. Retail giant Walmart announced a few days ago that it is now providing vaccines at its 137 California pharmacies, including in East County.
137 locations include Sam’s Club և Walmart Neighborhood Market stores.

“In addition to appointments, the schedule will provide a digital reminder when it is time to return to the second vaccine, helping clients get their second dose on time,” Walmart said in a press release. “You do not have to be a member of the Sam Club to register for an appointment. Appointments are available seven days a week, but the exact dates will vary depending on the local availability of the vaccine. ”

Walmart’s announcement comes after Congressman Raul Ruiz (CA-36), a physician, wrote a letter to President and CEO Doug McMilon on February 26 asking the head of retail to expand the number of countries where his company offers was COVID-19.
