SANTIN, California. – The young couple returned to their Santay district on Tuesday to see what was left of their home after the plane crash.
After postponing their dream wedding due to Covid-19 in 2020, Courtney և Cody Campbell, both 30-year-old Santana High School alumni, were newly married on May 2 and closed after buying their first home on May 7.
Couple had just finished rebuilding the house the day before the plane crash. They could not enter the next day to examine the damage because it was too dangerous. Debris is still dumping on the streets near their home on Greencastle Street. They were both working in the hospitality department at the time of the accident. Their dog, Mister, had just taken a relative.
Courtney Campbell says that despite what happened in their home, they are grateful for their lives.
“The fact that we are standing here, the dog has been taken, that our neighbors, Phil and Maria, have been able to get out safely,” he said with tears in his eyes. “My heart goes out to the UPS driver, to his family, who lost their lives, I can not imagine.”
The oyge remains close to relatives. They met with the insurance regulator on Tuesday morning. They said it could take 12 to 18 months before they could decide if they could rebuild their home on the same plot.

“They were watching TV, the plane hit the front of the house, the next thing you know, it opened fire from the window in front of them,” said James Ames Slaf-Gruel, the couple’s son.
James Ames says he is grateful to Santay’s parents for getting their parents out of their burning home.
“These people just risked everything for their strangers. It was a wave of support, everything from gift cards to money to phone calls, ”said James Ames.
As Phil և Maria recovers from second- to third-degree burns to their body, James Ames says his mother is heartbroken, they have not been able to save their dog. Roxy.
“My mother-in-law Phil has to work out the fact that Roxy is no longer with them. You know she tried to go back to the burning building to get her dog,” he said.
