SANTI, California – Three people have been arrested in Sante on suspicion of providing alcohol to a minor during a fraudulent operation over the weekend.
On Saturday, lawmakers in the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and agents from the state Department of Alcohol Control’s three petty swindlers operated small-sided taps in various parts of the city.
The juvenile thieves tried to retail in six places and tried to buy alcohol inside the shops. Sheriff officials say a store employee sold alcohol to a teenager and was arrested on illegal charges.
The eight-shoulder faucet was made in front of four liquor stores, where the teenager asked the adults to buy alcohol for themselves. Eleven adults were contacted, and two of them bought alcohol for a minor and were arrested.
Officials say the trivial acts of the bait faucet were carried out “in an attempt to reduce alcohol abuse and youth alcohol use.” ABC-related operations have been funded through a nationwide grant and are expected to run until June 2021.
One person with information about licensed liquor establishments providing alcohol to minors is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers 888-580-8477 or the Sheriff’s Department of Emergency Situations at 858-565-5200. Tips may remain anonymous.
