
EL CAHON, California – A driver of a tow truck has been arrested on suspicion of fleeing an accident in El Cajon, seriously injuring two people. Police said Wednesday.
The abduction was reported at 5 pm on Tuesday. No earlier than 40, in the 200 block of Main Road, just south of Main Street.
Investigators found that the truck was moving two cars south when the driver suddenly overturned, collided with another car heading south, and then crashed into palm trees in front of the apartment complex, Larson said. After the accident, the driver of the tow truck allegedly ran out on foot.
The injured in the other car were taken to hospitals for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the lieutenant said.
While investigators were at the scene, the driver of the tow truck returned on foot and was arrested on suspicion of committing a serious crime, Larson said. The delivery driver was also taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
It was not immediately clear whether the poisoning was the cause of the accident.
